چکیده

PQ analysis for detecting power line disturbances in real-time is one of the major challenging techniques that are being explored by many researchers. In order to understand the causes of electronic equipment being damaged due to disturbances in power line, there is a need for a robust and reliable algorithm that can work online for PQ analysis. PQ signal analysis carried out using transformation techniques have its own advantages and limitations, In this work, Mathematical models for various PQ signal disturbances is developed and validated against real time signal. Based on the mathematical models developed, performances of various transformation techniques are compared. Software reference models for transformation techniques are developed using MATLAB. The developed models are verified using various signal disturbances. Keywords— Power quality, Power system transients, discrete wavelet transforms. Lifting based wavelet transform.

Discrimination of Power Quality Distorted Signals Based on Time-frequency Analysis and Probabilistic Neural Network

Recognition and classification of Power Quality Distorted Signals (PQDSs) in power systems is an essential duty. One of the noteworthy issues in Power Quality Analysis (PQA) is identification of distorted signals using an efficient scheme. This paper recommends a Time–Frequency Analysis (TFA), for extracting features, so-called "hybrid approach", using incorporation of Multi Resolution Analysis...

Recognition of Multiple PQ Issues using Modified EMD and Neural Network Classifier

This paper presents a new framework based on modified EMD method for detection of single and multiple PQ issues. In modified EMD, DWT precedes traditional EMD process. This scheme makes EMD better by eliminating the mode mixing problem. This is a two step algorithm; in the first step, input PQ signal is decomposed in low and high frequency components using DWT. In the second stage, the low freq...

Prediction of Above-elbow Motions in Amputees, based on Electromyographic(EMG) Signals, Using Nonlinear Autoregressive Exogenous (NARX) Model

Introduction In order to improve the quality of life of amputees, biomechatronic researchers and biomedical engineers have been trying to use a combination of various techniques to provide suitable rehabilitation systems. Diverse biomedical signals, acquired from a specialized organ or cell system, e.g., the nervous system, are the driving force for the whole system. Electromyography(EMG), as a...
